Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the beautiful celebration of the life of Dr Gladys Taylor McGarey.
Dr Gladys gave me the hope and inspiration to realise that growing old is not a limitation but a new beginning of endless opportunities and possibilities. That health and wellbeing is notto be taken for granted. It is not something that just happens but, in fact, the great miracle of the human body – and indeed the miracle of our Earth – will respond with miraculous powers of healing and renewal, when treated with the respect that both deserve.
Dr Gladys gave me so much hope and helped me to resolve that I must continue to try and help heal the hurts of humanity and continue with my lifelong commitment to try and make the world a little better because I lived.
We never met. Dr Gladys never knew of my existence, but she touched me deeply and helped me to recover my juice as she did for millions across the globe.
The statement of intent in my 10,000 Days Hope Initiatives in the link below owes much to her inspiration and universal encouragement:

And, like Dr Gladys, I too am dyslexic.
Thank you dear family of Dr Gladys Taylor McGarey for sharing this service with all of her friends from across the globe. I send you heartfelt prayers of kindness and healing from Ireland. Let us all commit to making her spirit live in our expressions of Love, Life, Labor, Laughter and Listening.
May the Creator of the Universe be praised forever through our gratitude for the privilege of the life of goodness that was Dr Gladys.
Thank you,
Don Mullan
